ABOUT BOULDER MOUNTAIN CLAYWORKS:
Boulder Mountain Clayworks, nestled in Sun Valley, Idaho, is located within easy walking distance of Ketchum and has a view of Baldy Ski Mountain from the glaze room.The Studio is fully equipped for stoneware, porcelain and raku pottery. Boulder Mountain Clayworks has 2,000 sq. ft. With 12 wheels, a slab roller, pug mill extruder and plenty of room for handbuilding. The kiln room contains two large Skutt electric kilns, one for bisque and the other for high fire. The glaze kiln is a 16 cu. ft. Geil downdraft gas kiln. It is all wonderful.Boulder Mountain Clayworks was established July, 1997 to encourage the development of clay arts within the community by offering classes for children and adults. During the summer Boulder Mountain Clayworks offers weekend workshops with prominent clay and other media artists. These workshops are “hands on,” everyone works and has a great time! Boulder Mountain Clayworks also has communal studio space to share with other clay artists.
